Dairy, dogs and Dingwall – Highland MSP kicks off summer constituency tour in Ross-shire

Kate Forbes MSP will begin her summer constituency tour next week with a string of meetings and surgeries across Ross-shire.

The constituency MSP for Dingwall and the Black Isle is set to visit the acclaimed Black Isle Dairy in Mulbuie, Munlochy Animal Aid as well as see the Culbokie Community Trust.

In addition to helping out at the Black Isle Show, Ms Forbes will hold 11 constituent advice surgeries in locations such as Cromarty, Dingwall Kiltarlity and North Kessock.

She said: “As a Dingwall resident, it’s always a pleasure to get out and about closer to home.

“This week looks like it will be busy, with the farming community and everybody else descending on the Black Isle Showground.

“I’ll be there on Thursday, walking round the stalls and looking for an excuse to sample local fare.

“There are so many local businesses doing really well at the moment, not least the Black Isle Dairy which I hope to visit as well.

“Communities are very enterprising too and I will be meeting a number of community groups who are keen to drive forward new initiatives.

“I’ll be meeting with Culbokie Community Trust to that end also.

“There’s a lot going on in Dingwall and the Black Isle at the moment and I look forward to meeting as many people as possible – and a few cats and dogs at Munlochy Animal Aid.”
