Next week constituency MSP Kate Forbes will be in Badenoch as part of her summer constituency tour.
During the week the Badenoch MSP will be holding surgeries in Aviemore, Dalwhinnie, Kincraig, Kingussie, Laggan and Newtonmore, as well as meeting with local businesses and community organisations.
Highlights include a meeting with Gemma Hendry, who recently set up a social enterprise providing outdoor activities to service users with physical and learning disabilities.
Gemma Hendry, who lives in Aviemore, has secured funding to set up her social enterprise, providing outdoor activities such as climbing and canoeing to service users with a wide range of physical and learning disabilities, as well as the annual Thunder in the Glens ride-out from Aviemore.
Kate Forbes MSP said: “Week four of my constituency tour takes me to Badenoch, which is always a highlight.
“There is so much great work going on in Badenoch and Strathspey, but clearly lots of challenges too.
“My aim is to meet as many local people as possible, particularly those who might not normally get in touch with their local MSP.
“Of course, I’m always available by email or telephone and I hold surgeries during the rest of the year.
“Summer, however, allows me to spend longer and hold more surgeries which hopefully means more people can get in touch.”
